Privacy notice

Last updated July 23, 2026. This notice describes Foodel's current prelaunch data practices. It is informational and does not create a service contract or waive rights provided by applicable law.

Who we are

Foodel is a prelaunch market-research project operated by founder Samuel Sutch. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].

Scope

This notice applies to Foodel's regional prelaunch websites, waitlist, surveys, referral features, pilot-interest forms, and related email communications. Foodel is not currently accepting orders through these services.

Information you provide

We may collect your email address, optional phone number, ZIP code, optional neighborhood, household size, dietary track, meal and entrée preferences, expected ordering frequency, price interest, delivery-day preference, survey responses, optional comments, referral information, and communication choices.

Information collected automatically

We may collect landing-page and referral information, campaign parameters, referring page, session information, and privacy-preserving hashes derived from technical information such as an IP address or browser identifier. Necessary cookies or sessions may be used to operate forms, preserve attribution, prevent duplicate submissions, and reduce abuse.

How we use information

We use information to operate the waitlist, confirm submissions, measure regional demand, evaluate possible service areas, understand household preferences, administer surveys and referrals, select possible pilot participants, send communications you requested, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and preserve required consent and audit evidence.

Communication choices

Marketing and launch-update email consent is optional and is not required to submit waitlist research. Providing a phone number does not authorize marketing calls or text messages. You may withdraw email consent through an unsubscribe link or by contacting [email protected].

Disclosure and service providers

Information may be handled by providers supporting hosting, security, email delivery, geocoding or service-area analysis, and other essential operations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, investigate misuse, or protect people and systems. Foodel does not currently sell personal data or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Retention

Foodel's current policy is to anonymize direct prospect identifiers and certain free-text and attribution data 24 months after the last activity, unless a legal hold or applicable law requires otherwise. Required consent and audit evidence may be retained for seven years. Generated exports are scheduled for deletion after seven days. Deidentified or aggregated market-research results may be retained longer.

Your requests

You may ask to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information associated with you, or withdraw a communication choice, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required for consent, suppression, security, audit, or legal purposes. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Appeals

If Foodel denies a privacy request and applicable law gives you an appeal right, reply to the decision or email [email protected] with the subject Privacy Appeal. Include enough information to identify the earlier request without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Security

Foodel uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not submit passwords, payment-card information, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Adults only

The prelaunch research is intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. People under 18 should not submit personal information.

Changes

We may update this notice as the prelaunch project changes. A revised notice will show a new last-updated date. We will provide additional notice or request consent before materially different uses when required by applicable law.
